A brief guide to our income and expenditure
Let’s begin by saying where our income does NOT come from: we receive no money from the government, the central bodies of the Church of England, or our own Diocese of Bath and Wells. Also, we do not have the benefit of large historical legacies or endowments. Grants may become available for specific projects, but nobody pays our weekly or monthly bills for us.

Legacies and Reserves
The figures above exclude legacies, which we transfer to reserves. The reserves are used for one-off projects, such as major work on the premises, or starting off a new ministry, such as employing a Youth Church Pastor.
We are currently running a small deficit, which we will address by appealing for funds from the congregation to pay our Children’s and Youth staff on a permanent basis rather than temporarily from reserves.
